A discussion seminar was held by Lcdr Bill Grossman USCG & other USCG Personnel on the current USCG and NTSB Safety issues for inspected vessels and Marine Investigations. Lunch was provided by The Bridgeport- Port Jefferson Ferry Company.
Attendees sailed aboard the Hornblower on the evening of September 26th. Everyone enjoyed food and drink as the sun set on a cool fall evening. We hope you will join us on our next trip.
Former Chairman of the Panama Canal Commission Bob McMillan when he presented the topic: The Panama Canal: A 100 Year Old Marvel Soon to Become Even More Marvelous! The event was held on September 16th . The talk outlined the strategic importance of the Panama Canal over the past 100 years and the implications of its expansion, due to be opened next year. Bob McMillan has recently published his book “Global Passage” describing the history of the Panama Canal and its future.

A beautiful evening was enjoyed by all as we set out for a Sunset Sail aboard America 2.0 on Wednesday August 27th. A view of New York with the sun setting in the background was a perfect way to let go of the stress of day !!
On August 3rd, a delicious lunch was enjoyed aboard the beautiful Norwegian Breakaway. Thank you to Captain for the tour including a close look at the bridge. Even though we were docked at the pier, for a short time we imagined that we were on vacation. Click here to view more pictures of our time aboard the Breakaway.
On July 31st cocktails and dinner were served aboard the Hornblower. The cruise left from PIER 15 and lasted 2 hours. It was a beautiful night, enjoyed by all that attended.
Members of the club joined us on Monday, July 14. for a lecture / discussion by Judge Walter J. Brudzinski, Chief Administrative Law Judge, U.S. Coast Guard titled:“What the industry wants to know about the Merchant Mariner Credential Suspension and Revocation Process.
On Monday, June 16, the Propeller Club of New York and New Jersey in association with the Davis Park Ferry Company and the National Park Service, Fire Island presented a lecture / discussion by Judge Walter J. Brudzinski, Chief Administrative Law Judge, U.S. Coast Guard titled: “What the industry wants to know about the Merchant Mariner Credential Suspension and Revocation Process.” The event was held at the NATIONAL SEASHORE PARK FERRY TERMINAL, PATCHOGUE, NY., lunch was provided by: Davis Park Ferry Co. Space provided by: The National Park.
The celebration for Gerard Thornton’s new tugboat was held on June 12th, 2014. Members of the Propeller Club joined in the festivities on the tug Eric R. Thornton and said hello to Gerard of Thornton Towing & Transportation, LLC,
